Anti-Harassment Statement

Our Mission: Fostering Interdisciplinary Collaboration.
Our research group brings together members from a wide range of fields, including biology, evolutionary biology, information science, and physics. We aim to foster a vibrant community where we can all share our intellectual curiosity, enjoy our research, and engage in active and open discussions. To achieve this, we are committed to respecting each other's diverse expertise and values, and approaching every discussion with a broad perspective and a flexible mindset.

Commitment to a Safe and Inclusive Environment.
We do not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind, including that based on gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, nationality, age, disability, religion, or personal background. To ensure that every member feels safe and empowered to contribute their best work, we pledge to be actively considerate and supportive of one another. Furthermore, we all share a collective responsibility to prevent any complicity in harassment, and to consciously maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Support for Our Members & Language Inclusivity.
We understand that researchers face various challenges at different life stages, such as seeking opportunities for education, career transitions, marriage, parenting, caregiving for family, or personal health issues. Our project is committed to providing all possible support to our members as they navigate these challenges. While the primary language for presentations in our project is Japanese, we are dedicated to making our activities accessible to non-Japanese speakers. We strongly encourage the use of English for presentation slides and proactive communication in English during poster sessions and social events.
